Studying Scripture

Being a disciple means more than just spending devotional time with God once a day, but also digging into His Word as if it were food for your soul, and you’re starving! The Bible is full of supernatural truth, and here’s where I’m going to dig in to it as best I can!

  • Bible Study: Holiness
According to God’s Word, the word “holy” is rich in meaning and application for us. So let’s get into it!
  • Bible Study: Root of Jesse
There shall come forth a Rod from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots…And in that day there shall be a Root of Jesse… (Isaiah 11:1,10) In 2 Samuel 7, after King David is confronted by the Lord for his adultery and murder, God does something ridiculously gracious: He … Continue reading Bible Study: Root of Jesse
  • Learning From The Life Of: Apollos
In my personal opinion, Apollos is one of the coolest people in the New Testament! He only appears in a few places in Scripture, yet we learn a ton about the kind of man he was, and have much to learn from our brother in Christ.
  • Learning From the Life Of: Simon the Zealot

In any religion, the priest or priestess is the person with the special ability to … Continue reading Bible Study: Priesthood
  • Learning From the Life Of: Melchizedek
Melchizedek is one of the most mysterious, yet crucially important, figures in Scripture! He’s also one of the coolest.
  • Bible Study: Messiah/Christ
If you’ve ever heard of Jesus, you’ve probably heard the word “Christ” or “Messiah.” What do those things mean? Isn’t that just Jesus’ last name? Let’s look what what it means for Jesus to be the Messiah, Christ, in the Bible!
  • Bible Study: The Temple
From Genesis to Revelation, the story of the Bible is God wanting to dwell with His creation. Originally, all of Creation was for this purpose, but after sin and death entered the universe, God chose different ways to live among His people that ultimately lead to Jesus Christ. Let’s see how!
  • Bible Study: The Prophets
The Lord your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me {Moses} from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear…And the Lord said to me: ‘What they have spoken is good. I will raise up for them a Prophet like you from among their brethren, and will put My words in His mouth, and He shall speak to them … Continue reading Bible Study: The Prophets
